It is the impossibility of the matter to transcend itself and become spirit, that fascinates me. So I document ideas of beauty and loss by using bridges and flyovers as a metaphor for transition and change. I do this by using materials that act as a contrappost to the stern stuff that bridges and highways are made of; in essence I say, think about bridges, by thinking about that which is most un-bridgelike.

These drawings are a monument to the idea that loss is inevitable but not unbeautiful.
